Wet loose avalanches are the biggest problem at lower altitudes. Above the new snow line, it might be easy to trigger avalanches in the fresh wind slabs.

Nedbøren på søndag, og i hvertfall mandag, har antageligvis kommet som regn nesten helt opp til de aller høyeste toppene. Snøen er våt og fuktig selv høyt til fjells. I enkelte leheng på de aller høyeste toppene kan det likevel ligge fersk fokksnø.

Høyt til fjells har det tidligere ligget et lag av kantkorn og rim under fokksnøen, men mildværet på mandag har antageligvis ødelagt dette.

20 mm precipitation, up to 30 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Moderate gale from southwest, changing to strong gale from the southwest during renoon. -1 °C to 5 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

10 mm precipitation, up to 20 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Strong gale from southwest, changing to moderate gale from the southwest during the evening. -3 °C to 5 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Naturlig utløse våte skred er hovedproblemene tirsdag.
I renner og bratte fjellsider ventes våte løssnøskred i alle himmelretninger.
Når temperaturen synker utover dagen vil nysnø og vind i fjellet gi nye fokksnøproblem. Disse kan være lette å påvirke for en skiløper mens snøværet pågår.
